The Fine Arts Academy in Venice was founded on September 24, 1750 by the will of the Venetian Senate and the first president Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, one of the greatest painter of eighteenth-century in Europe and the outstanding first master of the Grand Manner. The Accademia di Belle Arti offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in painting, sculpture, decoration, graphic art, scenography and new technologies for the arts, as well as one year master’s degree programmes, workshops and internships.
