Veterinary STUDIES

There are 15 Italian universities where it is possible to study Veterinary Medicine. Structured in a single cycle study lasting 5 years, the educational path of the Degree in Veterinary Medicine is divided into three phases and includes courses, exercises, laboratory activities and an internship period. The first phase is dedicated to the acquisition of basic scientific knowledge in subjects such as fundamentals of biochemistry, physics, botany, anatomy, and zoology. This is followed by a second phase of deepening knowledge through subjects that characterize and concern, precisely, the world of animals such as zootechnics, pathological anatomy, surgery, infectious diseases, or pharmacology strictly related to the veterinary field. The third and last phase is that of the internship, to be carried out at the laboratories and outpatient facilities of the faculty or at affiliated public and private offices, under the guidance of a tutor.
